Looking forward to 2024

As we come to the end of 2023, I would like to say thank you to the entire board and Chapter officers for their time and dedication since we came together as a team this past summer. Together with our sponsors and members, we are fortunate to work with a talented, diverse group of healthcare industry leaders and innovators.

That opportunity was exemplified at our 2023 Annual Health Summit this past October. The annual Summit was a success thanks to the efforts of the entire board as well as our amazing sponsors, speakers, panelists and attendees. This carefully planned event provided all the opportunity to learn from nationally recognized keynote speakers including:

Kent Bottles, MD, a nationally recognized physician leader and speaker on the implementation of health information technology

  • Joy Rios, host of the HIT Like a Girl podcast
  • Jeff Butler, an international speaker specializing in “being human in the age of innovation”

We are grateful for their value-added leadership in the event as well as the participation of expert panelists throughout the day long Summit.

  • West Coast Chapters Magical Networking Luncheon at HIMSS 24: 
    This event is scheduled for Tuesday, March 12 at the Hyatt Regency Orlando and will be co-hosted by the Arizona, Southern California, Northern California, Oregon, Washington and New Mexico Chapters.
  • AZ Chapter Spring Social: 
    Tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, May 8 at the Hilton Scottsdale Resort

As we move into 2024, I encourage you to increase your engagement with the AZ Chapter of HIMSS by following us on LinkedIn, participating in in-person and virtual national and AZ Chapter events and educational opportunities, and encouraging colleagues to become active members. Together, we can lead the way to improving healthcare across Arizona and the nation.
